"This app gives me certainty."
I have been using the CardioSecur system since 2017 on the recommendation of my cardiologist. I suffer from paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, which usually occurs at night. Since you cannot “wait out” such symptoms until the morning without treatment I always take my prescribed medication immediately and the next day the doctor can usually not detect any symptoms. CardioSecur gives me the opportunity to see what is going on right away. The system itself offers three types of feedback. Either everything is OK (white), it tells me to make a doctor’s appointment soon (yellow) or I have to seek medical attention immediately (red). There is also the option to forward the ECG to a specific doctor, simply by pressing a button, or to add a PDF-attachment to an email and the reading arrives at the doctor’s computer immediately. Especially in areas with just few doctors this can be a life-saving advantage! For me, it already once led to an intervention – I had an Afib attack on Friday afternoon, my cardiologist reacted immediately and on Monday I was already in the hospital. Especially since this experience I wouldn’t want to be without CardioSecur anymore, because this app gives me a great sense of certainty.
